Active clinic-workplace interaction to optimise chances of remain-at-work or return-to-work while recovering.

Chronic or complex work injuries: Rehabilitation of complex cases of recalcitrant work injury incorporating active physical rehabilitation and CBT management of chronic pain, disability and deconditioning. The approach to management of chronic and disabling pain should include education to enable the patient to understand and manage their medical condition, radiology and pain in a wholesome and constructive manner, so as to be equipped and empowered to remain physically active in a sensible and confident manner in life’s activities at home, work and play. Chronic or complex cases are usually managed collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
